Anisa has impacted our patients’ lives even years later, long after their treatment has finished with us.
Anisa's commitment to Children's has been an extraordinary one, being a part of the organization for over 40 years. I think we all so easily remember to check in, celebrate, and reward our new staff members for being a part of the team, but sometimes overlook the long-term commitments. I was recently at a local grocery store. I was stopped by a clerk that noticed my Children's badge. She proceeded to tell me that she (now an adult) was a patient in the HO clinic years and years ago.

I could hear the pride in her voice as she spoke of her wonderful nurse, Anisa, and how she made the experience the best for her it could be. She identified how Anisa made her experience comfortable and that she could always count on her for her support. She continued to talk about how she continually looks at our website for job openings in hopes to be a part of the wonderful team that she once experienced on "the other side".

Anisa is a hard worker and her dedication to the organization is easily defined by the years’ service to us. This doesn't start to shape her commitment to our patients, families, and staff. I think stories like the one from our local clerk are refreshing to see how Anisa has impacted our patients’ lives even years later, long after their treatment has finished with us. Her commitment to giving our patients the best care is what will drive generations to come to trust our expertise in children, much like this example.

When we have former patients trusting us with their children/grandchildren, friends, etc. we are doing something right. Anisa's hard work reflects positivity in patient experience, enough to gain their trust in caring for their families as well as drive them to being a part of our team because they too want to provide that same level of service to others. Anisa's commitment and dedication to her department over the years and now should be something that should be celebrated.
