RJ compassionately and professionally takes care of our patients.
RJ has received numerous accolades in the last 2 months alone. Practice Managers have expressed appreciation for his willing to orient new Urgent Care permanent teammates. This is not his job, but the PMs trust RJ to teach correctly and they depend on him to pass along his clinical knowledge. Practice Managers have also expressed their appreciation for him stating “I wanted to let you know how pleased we are at Morehead with RJ. He is very diligent in his work and does not hesitate to assist and share his working knowledge of EPIC. He is very communicative with me as well and shares process improvement/work flow ideas -which I appreciate. He consistently goes the second mile. Thank you for all you do and please let RJ know how much he is appreciated by Morehead.”

RJ is a true team player. Not only is he recognized by Practice Managers, but also his peers. “RJ is one of the nest nurses I have ever worked with. He works on the resource team and he’s a true team player. He has a real heart for our patients as well as our teammates. When we were in the thick of COVID and patients were lined up outside our doors before we even opened- RJ would help me at the front desk- getting patients checked in and on our reservation list. This was a HUGE help to not only me, but to our patients! He compassionately and professionally takes care of our patients. RJ is a true asset to Atrium Health.”

Most importantly, RJ takes care of his patients. No matter what is happening in the clinic, RJ ALWAYS does the right thing and puts his Patients First ALWAYS. “RJ Kelley RN recently worked at Southend Urgent Care, and I wanted to highlight his contributions. On this particular day, our clinic had two walk-in patients with emergent needs (Patient A was anaphylactic with BP 73/50 and Patient B was hypoxic with O2 < 65% on RA). RJ took the lead on both situations and delivered excellent care with confidence while communicating effectively with staff. Patients were stabilized and referred to higher level of care for management. In my experience, most people (healthcare and non-healthcare) are unaware that UCs often manage life-threatening situations. Having staff with the appropriate experience (such as RJ) greatly lessens the associated risk(s). RJ managed both of these situations with accuracy and confidence. Working as a solo provider, one of my biggest fears is not having a staff member with the necessary experience to help handle emergent situations. Folks such as RJ should be the standard.” RJ is awesome. It has been difficult for a lot of teammates working solo. Because of that, it is important those solo teammate are able to handle emergent situations like these and do it with a good work ethic. We truly appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to give this feedback. Folks like RJ should be the norm. Although that is not true, this is the norm for RJ.
