We brought our son by ambulance to Children’s from our local hospital. Jenni was our nurse the first day we spent on West 9. She went above and beyond for both our 2-year-old son as well as my husband and me. She spent time getting to know us personally, went out of her way to get things for our son, took him on little walks, held him, and made him laugh. She made us feel like everything would be okay even though we are in a hospital in a different town that we were not familiar with. I think it takes a very special person to make an entire family who is here for a sick child actually feel at home and comfortable and trust everyone is doing everything they can to make sure our son will be okay. She made us feel like we were her only patient the entire day. I want to thank Jenni for all she does. I should also mention we spent 4 months here, 5 years ago, with our other son. He ended up passing away after a battle with necrotizing entercolitis. Coming back here with our son L was very triggering. Jenni made us feel like we could trust the doctors and staff. She brought us a sense of peace we did not have upon arrival.
