In PICU Danielle was my hero twice during our stay. First, she noticed that my child’s chest sounds were different and diminished. She started looking at reasons promptly, quickly fixed it, then told the doctor. She even stayed past her shift to see the X-ray to make sure my child was okay. We were blessed to have Danielle again when we moved over from PICU to General. It was Thanksgiving and I was missing dinner with my other children and husband. Danielle insisted that I go have dinner with my family and she ensured that my child would be taken care of. My family was so thankful to have me for dinner. We hadn’t had dinner for over two weeks due to us being here. I returned to find my child was well taken care of and happy. I can never repay her for allowing me to be with my family on Thanksgiving. She was also there the day my child came off the vent and she provided amazing care during those hours.

Danielle did an excellent job caring for our son following a traumatic hand injury and surgery. She helped us understand what to expect and how to prepare for what’s next in a very uncertain and unfamiliar situation. Further she took time to speak with my mom and sister as well to help me when I was overwhelmed and needed their ears too. Thank you, Danielle.
