My son was in recovery on the 10th floor for his fourth surgery. He was there for 8 days and was less than happy to be there. It was invasive and scary and we left with a feeding tube. Jacob was our nurse for several days and he was beyond amazing. He was amazing with my son and he said he was his favorite nurse. He shared in his interests and was the only one that gave him his meds so that he didn't freak out. He always checked in on him and us when had an extra minute to make sure we were always ok. He was also amazing with my husband and me. He explained everything that was going on in a way that I understood and when he didn't know something or we needed extra advice from the doctors he would find out the information for us in a timely manner. I was super nervous going home with the feeding tube and he took the time to make sure I knew what I was doing and I was comfortable with the task. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help us through such a difficult situation. He was a breath of fresh air during our stay. Thank you so much, Jacob!
