Janie is an incredible nurse and an incredible person. I came here really struggling with PTSD. This included dealing with flashbacks and hard memories. While other nurses kept their distance, Janie jumped in with both feet and did everything she could to help me get through the flashbacks, drawing on her experience working with veterans and her own personal experience.

She went out of her way to encourage me, giving great advice and just being there for me when I was going through rough times. Janie has been a lifeline for me during my stay here. Not only that, but she does small things to show she cares. She’s put my laundry in when I’ve been struggling. She listens and anticipates my needs, and she’s just a genuinely kind person. Janie deserves to be recognized for all she does for patients here!
