Valerie has risen to the challenge with grace and professionalism.
Valerie has worked at Clifton Springs Nursing Home for more than 18 years and routinely sets herself as an example for her peers. Her dependability and commitment to the residents of her unit make her a strong asset to the team. Valerie is quick to notice changes in her residents and always ensures to follow through to make sure that they have what they need. Her quiet, and compassionate approach sets residents and peers at ease.
Recently, Valerie stepped up and assumed more responsibility. In an effort to support all three units on the second floor, Valerie agreed to step into a charge role while the RN Clinical Leader is out on leave. Now, Valerie works alongside the RN Nurse manager to ensure that clinical concerns are addressed in all three units. Valerie has risen to the challenge with grace and professionalism. Last week, while speaking to a CNA with concerns about appointments and other acute issues on her unit, Valerie offered support and helped her calmly develop a plan to get everything done.
On another day, the second floor got three admissions all within a few minutes of each other. Valerie worked collaboratively with the LPNs and CNAs to help get them settled, and support the RN in completing the admission documentation. I am excited to see how Valerie will continue to grow as a leader to her peers.
