Savannah comes into our room always with a great smile, she is personable and connects with my husband and me on a very personal level, and ensures that my husband and I are comfortable.
Savannah is an amazing nurse! Savannah goes above and beyond every single day she is here for her patients. Savannah gives her all every shift and works as hard as she possibly can to ensure that her patients' needs are not only met but the service is top-notch. She has so much passion and dedication for what she does and this is evident every time she interacts with her patients. Below is a sample of what one of her patients said on a 5-star spirit award.
"We cannot recall a nurse as willing to assist and she was very pleasant to do so. It was so obvious, that she loved what she is doing, and it is passed on to her patients - and their families. 5 Stars to Savannah!!"
Savannah’s name always comes up in every patient rounding. Below are some emails that I have received from our Service Excellence Liaison with Savannah being mentioned.
Hey M, I was doing some discharge calls today. I spoke to a patient's wife and she shared an issue she had with a different RN one night. Other than that situation, they were very happy with the care. Especially from Savannah.
Hi Team, rounding on 3400 today and wanted to mention a couple of patient recognitions. As always, Savannah is every patient’s favorite nurse. She is always striving for the best for her patients. Two weeks ago, I was rounding on the unit and met with a family member and I introduced myself. She told me she was looking for a form to recognize her nurse. She went ahead to tell me that her nurse that day was Savannah who happened to be precepting a new graduate nurse. The family member stated, "we have gone to different hospitals and dealt with different nurses but Savannah is one of a kind. She comes into our room always with a great smile, she is personable and connects with my husband and me on a very personal level, ensures that my husband and I are comfortable regardless of the circumstances, and she has a very good sense of humor. Isn't she great?"
Savannah not only gets accolades from her patients but also from her team members. One of the charge nurses said, "I sometimes like eavesdropping on Savannah’s conversations with her patients. She is so calm, articulate, fun, and comforting to listen to. Her conversations are therapeutic to me". If I can sum it up, Savannah is a compassionate, hardworking, diligent, confident, and humorous nurse. We are lucky to have Savannah on our team!
