Claudina walked me up and down the street, we sat there and we talked. She let me talk, she let me cry and get it all out.
I am laying here in a bed at Howard University Hospital and I’ve been here 17 days now, the person I want to talk about is Ms. Claudina. She is on the 6th floor in the ICU unit. Oh my God people, she is the best best human being I’ve ever known or met. She took it upon herself to go above and beyond for my care. I was here the 13th or 14th day and she saw that I was down, she came in on her day off, got me out of the bed, and took me outside to get some fresh air. Walked me up and down the street, we sat there and we talked. She let me talk, she let me cry and get it all out. Anybody, anybody who know her in her department will say the same thing. To me she is God sent. I don’t even know if there is a word in the dictionary that can explain her. She is a true friend. I will always, once I leave this place, have love for her. She is always embedded in my heart. She did not have to do any of the stuff she did for me. She made sure my everything was done, this little little pump I have here, and she made sure it was done right and properly. She cared for me, she called me, she checked on me. Oh my God, I can go on and on and on. What I want her to know from the bottom of my heart, as long as I have breath in my heart, you have a true friend because you were a true friend to me.
