I truly think I am a better person because I had Prof B as a teacher.
Professor B gives real situational advice about how to react to certain situations as a nurse including the correct thought process to have when approaching a problem. He makes himself available to students as much as he can and will stop what he is doing for hours just to have a conversation with a student who is concerned, needs help, or just wants to talk. He provides quick responses to questions in a way that facilitates true understanding of the material as opposed to just memorization. Caring is an understatement for him. He has a calming sense of peace and is extremely knowledgeable. He makes time in his schedule for students no matter how long a student needs help, provides times to meet to review tests and material right after the test, provides video responses to questions, and has prompt responses to emails. Every time I go to meet with Prof B I stay and talk with him for over two hours, even if all I had was a few questions. He is so knowledgeable about how the human body works and can explain it in ways that have stuck with me to this day. He is also very open about his experience as a nurse and shares stories about his life to better help me along my path as a nurse. I truly think I am a better person because I had Prof B as a teacher.

Professor Brandon served as a role model for me in my first semester of nursing because he was so encouraging. He always believed in us and pushed us to be the best students we could be. He was encouraging and took the time to be intentional with each of us. He offered help and guidance not only in patho but also in nursing in general. We never questioned how much Professor Brandon loved the human body or nursing. His lectures were always so interesting because he was teaching us about something that he was passionate about. His enthusiasm for patient care and treatment was so motivating as a first-semester nursing student. Professor Brandon is such a great motivator and helped all of us feel more confident in our ability to take and be successful on his difficult exams. He believed in all of us and that helped us to believe in ourselves. He was also very personable and took the time to learn all of our names.

I genuinely believe that I am a better student and am better prepared to be a nurse because I had Brandon as a teacher. Brandon works very well with others and takes time to build relationships with everyone he meets. When I went to his office hours it was never just looking over my tests, it was a conversation about how I was doing and my plans for my future as a nurse. He cared about learning what specialties I was interested in and gave me advice on how to get there. Brandon was just such an awesome teacher and I feel so much smarter after taking his class. I will use information from his class for my entire career.
