My husband had been struggling with GI problems for a long time. He was previously been seen by an outside, private practice for his care. As his condition progressed and worsened, he began his search for a second opinion. He never realized that there was GI Specialist locally, at the VA clinic. He ended up finding a provider several hours away that could help him with his condition. After discovering that there was a procedure that could greatly increase his quality of life, he reached out to the VA for assistance. He had previously called and left voice messages, sent portal messages, and felt like he wasn't getting anywhere.

Then, he found Amber, and in approximately one month she was able to help him get a referral for the local GI specialist, an appointment, and ultimately authorization for the procedure he had been hoping to receive. I truly believe that the turnaround time, communication, and follow-through by Amber are to thank for all of this. She truly took the time to make sure that he got the care that he needed and most importantly, in a timely fashion. Her actions have made a huge impact in assisting him to move forward in receiving the medical treatment needed to improve his condition. Amber has been a blessing for us.
