Nancy is a quiet, humble leader but makes a big impact on all those around her.
Nancy Guzman is a nurse manager at South Florida Baptist Hospital, and she has been a BayCare Team Member for over 30 years! She received 5 nominations for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award and is very deserving of this honor. Her team had many wonderful things to say about her and I would like to share a few of them today:
Nancy always goes above and beyond for patients and team members, no matter how busy she is or how many units she is managing.

She helps when the unit is overwhelmed by answering call lights, changing beds, and taking patients to the restroom. She has even taken a patient assignment during COVID surges.

She creates a caring respectful environment, where we can go to her with anything.

She is fair, promotes quality patient care and high team morale. She truly walks the walk and talks the talk

Nancy checks on us from a personal level, knows about our families, our interests and supports us as people not just employees

I have had many managers during my career, and she is by far the best. She is one of the core reasons why I stay at SFB, and I am honored to have her as my manager.

She has a family, has lived through loss and heartache, and comes back to work with love for her job, team, and patients. It’s a light that shines and when you see it, that if she can do this if she can be this strong and care this much – we can too.
