Therese has been a long-standing, dedicated employee of the rural Melrose Hospital and community for the past 30+ years. Therese is one of our core charge nurses here in Melrose, whom nurses, providers, patients, and families look up to, trust, and respect. Therese carries the mission of providing safety and ensuring quality care is being provided at all times. Therese is always willing to mentor and lend a helping hand wherever needed.

She shows a caring, compassionate, motherly side, and always tries to see the best in both the patient and employees she is working with regardless of the situation. Therese has been a huge asset over her years by being a great mentor and leader to all those she has worked with. Therese is very knowledgeable and shows much dedication to not only her place of work but also to her family and community.

Therese is easily adjusted to change, which can be a cultural struggle for many. She tries to accommodate any change to best fit the patient and facility needs, in order to enhance and improve quality-driven care. Therese leads by a true example. She portrays a calm approach regardless of the situation to ensure patients, families, and co-workers are trusting in her clinical judgment, which helps set any traumatic situation at ease.

Therese’s hands-on experience over the years has given her the mentality of always looking at life in a positive aspect, knowing that you have given patients and families the best care possible regardless of the outcome. She is not afraid to laugh, listen, or cry with a patient. She gives hope, strength, and passion to her everyday life, and that is what makes her such a wonderful asset to our team here in Melrose.
