In addition to her heartfelt care and concern for patients in her care, Kate goes the extra mile and beyond. My husband had to be in the hospital on my birthday. When Kate found out, she went and got us a piece of cake to celebrate. This may not seem like much to others, but this birthday was a little harder, as it was the first one without my mom who passed away in September. Kate’s act of kindness reminded me of the beautiful way my mother lived her life. Her eternal reward will be great, but she shines brightly here on earth.
