A patient came to the ED confused with right-sided weakness via EMS. It was not certain when her symptoms started. This is needed to be known so that we can give TPA if possible. Steve was a detective, hunting down close contacts of patients as well as the doctor office's where the patient went earlier in the day. The neurologist on telestroke initially was hesitant to give TPA, but with Steve's hard work, the patient was found to be in the therapeutic time window for treatment. Steve helped keep the opportunity for the patient to receive treatment open.
