Marcus Cisneros is an FT PD nurse in Walnut Creek. Although he has a full load of patients and trainings, that has not ever stopped him from helping out the division when he’s been called upon. Since the start of the pandemic, he has been one of the only two Cohort nurses and still continues to support when needed. Marcus has helped ICHD whenever there have been staffing emergencies- even last minute. Marcus has supported PD facilities outside of our region and even outside of California, which included completing licensing requirements for Oregon. Marcus just completed PD training for a very complex patient who, without our acceptance of admission, would have continued to be dialyzing in the ER due to some behavioral issues and could not get ICHD placement. I can’t say enough about him; he lives our core values every day and truly is an amazing nurse. Without Marcus, our ICHD and Home facilities would not be the same.
