My husband, J, was admitted on our 43rd wedding anniversary. We thought he was just going in for an emergency room visit due to a fall, but a blood clot was found and he was admitted and had to stay for 5 days! When he spoke to Maria, the Charge Nurse, he mentioned that this was hard not getting to have me there, due to our concerns with COVID and because it was our anniversary that day! This sweet lady sent home a very special gift for me....representing my husband when he was unable to celebrate. She sent a lovely little book and a small frame, and both of us were so touched by her going way beyond the call of duty and caring so much to do this lovely thing for us! Gestures like these go unnoticed and this special nurse deserves a DAISY Award!
