Effective teamwork is the foundation for patient safety and a healthy happy workplace. My husband was a patient three times last year and I observed nurses working together as a team and having compassionate care for each of their patients. This was a team I wanted to be a part of and I am so grateful to have joined these amazing nurses in January. Even in my short time here, I can attest that nurses excel in effective communication and cohesive collaboration. Patients arrive too anxious about surgery and the nurses go above and beyond to calm patients by explaining in detail the plan for the day and even praying with patients.
