I had cardiac artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery performed by Dr. "A" last year. Following the surgery, I spent four days recovering in the hospital before I was discharged to Helen Hayes Hospital. I remember almost nothing of the day of and the day following the surgery until I awoke in the ICU on a Tuesday. On Wednesday, I was transferred to a room to recover. Wednesday and Thursday were probably the most difficult, uncomfortable days for me. Throughout my entire stay at Englewood, I was pleased with the care provided by the entire staff; I have absolutely no complaints. However, one nurse, in particular, helped me get through my two most trying days. She is Taylor Engelhart, and I am so grateful for the caring, compassionate care she provided me that I wanted to single her out for my praise and thanks. She helped make my most difficult days pass much quicker, and I am happy that I was lucky enough to have her assigned to be my nurse. Please make sure to convey my thanks to her, and if possible, please include this note in her personnel record. And thank you to all of the nursing staff who provided excellent care during my stay at Englewood Hospital.
