Susie has always been an efficient, caring, thorough nurse. She went above and beyond during both of my hospital stays thinking of my comfort, and health and giving me life in my misery. She thinks of comfort things that others don’t seem to and is always prompt with needed care. She spent years as a competent, knowledgeable ward clerk working her way up to the Nursing profession where she has continued to excel.

Susie comes to work each day with a positive attitude and the intention of helping others. She enjoys listening to her patients and getting to know them as an individual. She will learn about their family, what they have done for a career, and what their goals are in health. She will advocate the best she can for that person by speaking with care management on ways the patient will need help at home and services available to the patient. She will then speak to the providers to ensure all appropriate orders are completed prior to discharge. She will hold the hand of a dying patient and cry with the family as they pass. She brings her sense of humor every day and helps relieve stress and anxiety with laughter for both patients and staff. She will go above and beyond to help anyone by working a night shift so that staffing is safe, helping a patient find a new home for a beloved pet when a nursing home is the only discharge option, and bringing a patient who needs clothes or shoes to them prior to discharge. These are all the little things that Susie does every day because she loves being a nurse and sharing her heart with everyone.
