Christian was my nurse during my extremely fast preterm delivery at 22 weeks 6 days. She made sure to explain everything that was happening. When checking me in triage the baby’s head was already there and fully dilated. Christian explained what was going to happen and immediately called for a full NICU team and for my OB. My OB was on her way but clearly was not going to make it in time, so Christian called to have another OB that was at the hospital, deliver my baby. (I have never seen so many people move so fast in my life, thank you to the entire team!) After delivery Christian stayed with me and made sure I was ok (my husband went to the NICU with our baby). Once my OB arrived, she delivered the placenta but was not able to get everything. It was known there was a potential I would need a D&C to get the remaining tissues. Once she had me cleaned up, she made sure to get me to the NICU ASAP to see my daughter as they were going to be transferring her to Banner University. She made sure to explain everything the NICU team was doing to me and my husband. She also made sure we were able to FaceTime any family we needed to, to let them know what was going on. Having Christian by our side through this crazy and extremely difficult situation made things just a little easier. She is 1 in a million in our eyes. Thank you, Christian!
