Laura continued to encourage me even when I felt like I had nothing left to give.
I was in the hospital being induced and Laura was my nurse the day I delivered my beautiful and only daughter. Laura was there for me when my epidural wasn’t working right and my baby was not going in to engage. I was so scared because I was hurting and my baby’s heart rate kept dropping. Laura continued to encourage me even when I felt like I had nothing left to give. She told me when I needed to breathe and reminded me of why I was here and helped me to realize that after all this was over I would get to hold my daughter. She had so much patience with me even when I would press my button a thousand times because I was in so much pain. She was there to flip me in multiple positions to help my baby and never made me feel like I had to rush. She always reminded me that this was on my time.

I had my husband with me but having someone in the room who knew nothing about me and still made me feel as if she cared made a difference. After my daughter was delivered, Laura continued to be an encouraging person. She informed me of goals that needed to be met and cheered me on when I met them. Laura made me feel like having my baby at Eglin Air Force Base Hospital was the best decision I made. My daughter was born with a knot in the cord and it wrapped around her 3 different times; Laura never caused me to panic. Laura went above and beyond as a nurse and human being in general. She was kind, had compassion, and had patience.
