Beyond facilitating lectures, Cindy connects with her students on a personal level and strives to help each student as much as she can.
Cindy is an amazing instructor who gives real-world examples to aid in students learning, as well as create an environment in the classroom that makes learning interesting and fun. Outside of the classroom, Cindy has been a major source of support for students struggling with the balance of nursing school and life. Personally, I feel she has been instrumental in my success with my nursing education thus far. Always providing a supportive and safe space to ask questions, and share my frustrations and fears, Cindy has become a mentor to me. She is an exceptional instructor and human being.
Cindy is my favorite instructor for a variety of reasons - she easily connects the disease processes we must learn to the Nursing Process which makes studying so much easier! I would not have learned my medications as easily as I did without Cindy teaching Pharmacology. Even though I took it during the summer it was still a very intense course but Cindy made it worthwhile. I still remember various memory tricks and lab values she drilled into my head that summer! Thanks to her teaching style our recent three-day NCLEX review was personally a success for me in many ways.
Beyond facilitating lectures she connects with her students on a personal level and strives to help each student as much as she can. She is willing to visit with her students after class and shows interest in her students' lives inside and outside of nursing school. I can speak for my entire class by saying we will miss her very much after we graduate and likely would not have gotten this far without her guidance and support. She always goes above and beyond. She is always willing to assist us with whatever we need.
