When our son was born and very unexpectedly required a NICU stay, Jennifer was exactly the nurse that both he and we (his parents) needed. Shortly after arrival at the NICU, our son began decompensating and required intubation. Jennifer was quick to react by notifying the doctor and respiratory teams and getting our son the care he needed. Once he was stabilized, Jennifer went out of her way to carefully explain everything that was happening with her professional and calming demeanor. Once she found out I am also a nurse, Jennifer especially took the time to go over every detail that I wanted to know. We were so scared and emotional, but Jennifer showed us empathy and treated our son with love, the way she said she would want her children to be treated.

The following night, Jennifer came in to check on our son even though she originally wasn't assigned as his nurse. She said she thought about our son during the day, and to our delight, she was able to swap patients with another nurse so that she could care for our son again. We knew our son was in amazing hands, and we are so grateful to have met Jennifer during such a scary and difficult time while our son is sick. Thank you for everything!
