As an NP, Monica goes above and beyond to help her patients and the nursing staff. Through the pandemic, she has had to take on a lot of new responsibilities to help the critical care doctors. She is always here late rounding on her patients and making sure the nurses have everything they need before she goes home for the night. She is always the first one to volunteer to gather supplies and help us prone our covid patients. She is an amazing resource and works so hard every single day. She knows her patients so well and communicates with their families no matter how busy she gets which is especially important for the covid patients whose families can't be here. There have been countless times Monica has volunteered to run to the blood bank for me to get blood or helped me clean my patients up all of which she does without being asked or expected. She truly is the hardest worker I have ever met and she deserves recognition for everything she does.
