Maria is a nurse on Jane Brown 3 South. I have been a patient here for a few months, so I know Maria pretty well. She is easily one of the kindest nurses that I know and that’s saying a lot for my GI issues. Maria treats me with so much love and respect. She honestly treats me like she’s known me for her whole life. Every time she’s my nurse she listens to my concerns, talks to me, and hugs me (which is amazing because I’ve been here for a while and since there aren’t any visits, I don’t receive hugs from my family)! She advocates for me and so much more.

She also always has a big beautiful smile on her face. I have never seen Maria in a bad mood. She is so loving, compassionate, gentle, helpful, hard-working, genuine and so much more! Even if Maria is not my nurse, she makes sure that she checks on me and makes sure that I am okay. Since I can’t see my family Maria is like my fill-in mother. I also want to be a nurse when I graduate from college. I hope that when I do become a nurse I am just like Maria. She is a special lady and I really hope that you give her the recognition she deserves. I love Maria and I don’t know a person that doesn’t love her!
