This RN has worked at GSH for almost 20 years and when asked why he states that he loves working at this hospital and the people he works with. This RN is known and respected by all disciplines in the hospital, this is because he willingly shares his knowledge and will work in any role needed to support the team. Comments from his coworkers include being very knowledgeable, a great role model, and a great nurse. Very recently these attributes were witnessed once again while orientating one of the many new nurses he has orientated at GSH, this RN showed his compassion for his patients and his passion for nursing by personally providing care to one of our homeless patients, he took the time himself to ensure this patient was gently bathed ensuring his wounded feet were cleaned and dressed. This RN also recently had a patient die while under his care, this RN came in on his day off and stated he was not able to sleep and wanted to review there was nothing he had missed while taking care of the patient. Even after 19 years, 2 months, and 24 days working here at GSH this RN shows compassion, advocates for his patients, and gives every shift. He is an example to all of us and we are most fortunate to have him on our team.
