Diane shared with me the loss of her son when I told her about the loss of my father. She went above and beyond in her role as my nurse because sorrow shared is sorrow halved. She is entirely deserving of this recognition. Diane is a gift to this team because Diane is an angel sent by God to me. Her voice is soft like cotton balls and her eyes smile with gleam. She lost her son and I lost my family. Although painful, I am stuck in the emotion but it is time to let go of what I can't do and learn to accept what I can do. I'm tougher than a boiled owl and Diane's wisdom helped me see that.
