Carolyn Woods is a dedicated registered nurse, dependable co-worker, and a wonderful human being. She has devoted over 40 years of her life to healthcare at Newport Hospital.

In the short time that I have known Carolyn, her compassion, empathy, and skillset for patient care were immediately apparent. Carolyn goes above and beyond the call of duty in her role as a Nurse Navigator. She is always warm and approachable to everyone she interacts with. She remains positive no matter how difficult the situation becomes. Carolyn is a great role model and she exemplifies this by being respectful to all the team members. She understands that for a team to function effectively all its members need to take pride in the work they do, feel they have the support of the rest of the team, and receive recognition when they go the extra mile. She is a role model to our new generation of nurses as a nurse to aspire. A graduate of the diploma program here at NPH through professional development, she received her BSN and OCN accreditation. She is a nurse of the times.
