Joel is the nurse I hope to become. He shows up day in and day out with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He is the first person to always ask if anyone needs help or if he can do anything for them and their patients. He is genuine, kind, outgoing, and puts his all into his work every day, no matter how hard of a day he may be having. He continuously goes above and beyond for his patients. I have seen Joel show nursing excellence on numerous occasions throughout my years of working with him.

An example of how Joel always provides the utmost care: The other day he was floated to the ED as helping hands. We had a patient who was not being cared for properly at home, was disheveled, and presented with poor hygiene among others. Joel took it upon himself to provide a bed bath including hair wash, teeth brush, lotion, etc. to this patient with the help of the CNA solely to make this patient feel cared for and provide holistic care. Joel is an exemplary nurse who deserves to be recognized for nursing excellence. Thank you for all you do for our patients and coworkers!
