Even during the most stressful times, Tiffany has always been resilient and has done everything in her power to provide care to her staff and the patients.
Tiffany was nominated by multiple peers for being resourceful, compassionate, and positive despite the challenges of the COVID pandemic and the changes this has brought to the healthcare environment. She is known for being a hands-on leader and for going above and beyond to support her team and other Nurse Leaders within the organization.

To quote from her nomination(s): "Tiffany has been a nurse for 15 years and has always provided compassionate and exemplary care at the bedside. She still provides this care at the bedside when needed. She is always willing to pitch in to help out in staffing to ensure that our patients get the attention and care that they need instead of having the ICU staff absorb more patients than they can safely handle. She always advocates for evidence-based practices and role models this to staff by ensuring she utilizes them, and our policies and procedures to provide safe and efficient care to our patients."

"In 2021 we had our Magnet site visit. Tiffany spoke up at a manager's meeting and it was so heartfelt about why we stay at Sentara Martha Jefferson demonstrating her commitment. She then demonstrated extraordinary behavior by looking for ways to help her team. She utilized the PAUSE as started by a fellow nurse at UVA. She made sure that her team was equipped with a toolkit for grief. She researched and spoke with other hospitals so she could ensure that she was doing all she could for her team. The most important thing is that she gave her time. She would have to listen to constant requests as to how she would staff her unit and she never complained. Oftentimes she would work the shift herself. If that isn’t extraordinary, I don’t know what is."

"Tiffany is a compassionate leader. She has done so much for the staff, especially in the face of the many barriers we have had to overcome and adapt to in the wake of the COVID Pandemic. Even during the most stressful times, Tiffany has always been resilient and has done everything in her power to provide care to her staff and the patients. She has arranged for staff debriefs with difficult patient care situations and tries to accommodate time off for those who need it to prevent burnout in our high acuity unit. Tiffany recognizes that you cannot pour from an empty cup and provide the best compassionate care to your patients if you are not caring for yourself. Our ICU team really feels like family and this can be attributed to Tiffany’s fair and compassionate leadership style. "

"I can’t speak to others as to whether they feel Tiffany is a mentor, but I know for this writer she is one of the best. I have sat with Tiffany several times in her office and each time it’s spent on asking questions and learning from her. She is so willing to share anything that she is doing on the unit that could be of benefit to another unit. She reaches out to me when she feels I am stressed or in need of a friend. She motivates me to want to give 100%. She teaches me processes to help me complete tasks quicker. She takes the time when I ask questions about equipment in the ICU to fully explain how each one works. I look up to Tiffany not only in the way in which she runs her unit but also in the way she runs her home life. She has a strong faith and somehow while working amongst all the craziness of COVID and cares for a family of six."
