By the time I got admitted to the 6th floor I had already been through the ED and two other observation units. I was exhausted, hungry, sad, sick, homesick. I don’t even think Brenda Carrucini knows how much she helped me. Even just by listening to me blubber! She never let me feel I was a burden or a pain in the bottom. She seems to have the “IT” factor that it takes to be a nurse. If it mattered to me, then it mattered to her. If she didn’t have an answer, Brenda didn’t say “I don’t know” and forget about it. She tried to find that answer whenever possible. There were mornings where I had been bawling my eyes out, sad, and she just walked with me and talked me into the sunshine and laughter. I’ve never filled out one of these before, but it just felt necessary. Brenda would never ask for recognition, but she is so deserving of it. Brenda is dedicated to her patients! So natural, humble, sensitive, and caring. She has all that is necessary to be the best!
