I was admitted for what the doctor described - to remove my "rotten" gallbladder. I was very frightened and already dealing with postpartum depression. With this worry and being away from my baby, my anxiety levels were at an all-time high. I was placed in the oncology department. So grateful for God's plan because my recovery had such success due to the nurturing, selfless care Ivana showed towards me in any opportunity she was around me. I had many questions and worries, which Ivana eased me with answers and calming reassurances. She ensured I was in great hands and care, from breast pumping to caring for my every need. She was there with a warm smile. Never rushed, never late, she encouraged me to walk and heal. I felt this huge peace every time she entered the room. The world is a better place because of nurses who truly love what they do; their work and care show and shine through. Thank you, Ivana, for the compassion, the eagerness to assist, the selflessness, and the patience you displayed at all times. My stay will forever remind me of you. Thank God for you! I felt no depression, nothing but security and tranquility. Not only did I have my gall bladder removed, but I had another procedure two days in! Ivana was there with me the whole way through.
