She made me feel comfortable and explained everything to me.
I first met Ronni when I came to the hospital with a failing Liver. I had never been so scared in my life. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything to me. I would see Ronni on and off for next year as I waited for my transplant. When I told her I was starting to give up hope, she sat me down and told me she believed in me and that the team would find someone. When the day came that I was told they had a new liver for me and that I was going into surgery the next morning, Ronni was the first one to run into my room with tears in her eyes. It has been almost four months since my surgery, and Ronni still checks up on me, making sure I go for my lab work every week, and always gets excited when I tell her how healthy I'm getting. Ronni works on the Liver transplant floor. When I first met her, I was terrified of being in the hospital and what my future was going to be. She explained everything to me, kept me calm, and even checked up on me on my future visits. When she found out that I was going into surgery for my transplant, she rushed to my room and walk me down to the OR. Without her, I would have been an absolute mess.
