My wife and I have been trying to have a baby for almost a decade. We entered the hospital with excitement for an easy birth. Ciera was quick to answer questions and tend to every need my wife had. As the night progressed, my wife experienced placental abruption. When she called the nurse station, a different nurse came in, and she seemed to panic, which caused my wife and I to begin to panic. A doctor on stand-by entered the room and stated an emergency c-section needed to occur. As my wife and I continued to panic, thinking these are our last moments together, Ciera entered after helping with another emergency c- section. Ciera immediately went to my wife’s side to provide comfort and encouragement. As I, the father, was told to stay out of the operating room, Cierra continued to say by my wife’s side, holding her hand and telling her that nothing bad was going to happen and we were all going to celebrate our baby boy birthday together. She held her hand and never left her side through the entire operation. She kept my wife strong and I’m convinced my wife and son are here because of Ciera's actions.
