When it was time to work, Wanda was the consummate professional. When it was time for a more personal sense of healing, we shared and laughed, and I healed.
Wanda received two nominations:
Nomination 1: I would like to nominate Registered Nurse Wanda Butters for the DAISY Award for the upcoming quarter. I was hospitalized this past week and she was instrumental in my rapid recovery. Wanda showed a professional, caring, respectful and knowledgeable attitude in all of her duties as a nurse. She particularly and meticulously showed caring while reviewing my discharge instructions and was extremely helpful in explaining all of the instructions to me. She ensured my short stay at NorthBay VacaValley Hospital was as pleasurable experience as possible. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to her for her patience and dedication to duty and to the nursing field. I think she should be highly considered and is most deserving of this award and recognition.
Nomination 2: First and foremost, it was difficult for me to pick just one. Every single RN and CNA not only made me feel better, but the care that they took with me exhibited professionalism and compassion. So, my heartfelt thanks to all of them. To Wanda, healing comes in many forms. Her understanding of the medicine and her ability to communicate it was of an immeasurable reassurance. But healing also comes from a happy spirit, and in this regard, Wanda literally pushed my healing to new heights. When it was time to work, Wanda was the consummate professional. When it was time for a more personal sense of healing, we shared and laughed, and I healed. While every staff member is deserving, I didn't want to water down the pool. Wanda is my nominee for the DAISY Award.
