While I was crying, Cheyenne hugged me, gave me some crackers, and made me feel so relieved from everything that was happening.
Cheyenne has been very helpful. My husband is in CVICU due to his episodes. It was a very trying day, especially for me. We found out some news about my hubby’s health problem and, on top of that, we were talking about my brother-in-law who was a former police offer before he died. We were sharing the story of his tattoo of a bear and how, after he died, they all got one. My hubby was feeling extremely crummy and was crying due to the other news.

Cheyenne wanted to do something to cheer my hubby up so she and her friend went and got him a bear. Now we call the bear Junior because his brother we always referred to him as Junior. In the meantime, I was talking to Doctor Z., and we were explaining to the doctor about my brother-in-law. And in comes the bear. We were both very grateful and made my husband very happy. While I was crying, Cheyenne hugged me, gave me some crackers, and made me feel so relieved from everything that was happening. I want to take the time nominate her and her friend as the top DAISY Award nurses. I know there are many in the hospital, but this one is very necessary. Please consider Cheyenne and her friend because they deserve it. Thank you for having great nurses in here. That makes things all the better!
