She has worked extremely hard to make our learning experience exceed expectations, listened to our voices, and advocated for our best interests as future nurses.
Joining the medical field and going through nursing school is one of the hardest challenges I have faced in my life. This past year, I have been going through something that most of the outside world doesn’t understand. I have been pushed and challenged on levels I didn’t know existed. Mrs. Brewer has been by my side (and my cohorts' sides) the entire time. She has worked extremely hard to make our learning experience exceed expectations, listened to our voices, and advocated for our best interests as future nurses. She is the master of therapeutic communication and has shown respect for each of us. She is knowledgeable, dependable, and consistent. All of these qualities make a great nurse AND an amazing instructor. She is very worthy of this award and I’m proud to nominate her.

Mrs. Brewer is an exceptional example of what nursing faculty should be. Her lectures are informative and intriguing. When lecturing, she uses personal experience to help paint a picture of future nursing problems we may see one day in our nursing careers. Mrs. Brewer comes in every day with a smile and exudes enthusiasm. She takes every new challenge thrown at her with perseverance and spirit. She has shown me how a great attitude can affect the people around you positively. I have had some personal issues this semester and have let them, unfortunately, affect my abilities in school. She has shown me kindness and understanding during this time that I will never forget. Sitting down and having a conversation with your instructor and leaving feeling positive and encouraged about a situation is how a discussion with your instructor should go. She treats all nursing students equally and helps boost us all to be the exceptional nurses she knows we can be.
