Amanda is AMAZING, and that isn't saying enough about her. You are so very lucky to have her working for you. She is what every nurse should be. She picked up on my mom's feisty attitude and gave it right back to her, and my mom loved it! It made her laugh, and we felt so confident that Amanda had my mom's best interest at heart. She pushed for my mom to get what she needed when she needed it. She went above and beyond what I've EVER seen anyone do for a patient. We joked that Amanda was part of the family, and although it was a joke, that is truly how it felt and how Amanda acted. She fought for what my mom needed just as a daughter would fight for their mom. If something was needed, she got it done. If a doctor was needed, she made sure they were there. She is a comforting, compassionate, strong, and all-around great nurse and person! After my mom got moved to the general floor, she had to make a decision about her next steps, and she said, "I wish I could talk to Amanda to get her thoughts." That is how confident my mom was that Amanda would do right by her. Any patient is lucky to have Amanda as their nurse, and you are lucky to have Amanda on your staff.
