We had Ally as our nurse for at least 4 out of the 10 days our son was in the NICU at Norton's. Ally was amazing. Our son was on a cooling protocol, and then we had to rewarm him. The night that we rewarmed him, Ally was our nurse. I stayed at the hospital that night. Ally answered all of my questions, reassured me that everything was normal, and always made sure I had everything I needed before she left the room. She went above and beyond to take care of not only our baby but myself. She always talked sweetly to our son and took excellent care of him. You could tell that she absolutely loved her job and was always so positive about everything. As a mother of a baby in the NICU, her positivity and encouragement were much needed and appreciated. Every night that she cared for him, our minds were at ease, and I did not worry about him because she took the time to care for him and paid attention to the little things like not liking his hands to be swaddled. She even made sure to pass on the information to the morning nurse. She just always went above and beyond. She even made sure that we always had a place to stay when we were there and had everything we needed outside the hospital. I can't say enough good things about Ally. She was truly a light in the rough spot that we were in.
