Jamie is an amazing nurse and coworker. She is always willing to jump in and help in any situation. She floats to other units and goes above and beyond in her job. She holds herself accountable for her actions; if she makes an error, she owns up to it and does what she needs to for the situation to be fixed. She shows compassion to her patients and coworkers. She is always receiving good praises from patients she helped through labor or cared for in their postpartum stay. She shows foresight by helping to keep the unit updated and making cheat sheets to help some processes go smoother such as transfers to other hospitals for all nurses. She brings joy to the unit with her positive and go-getter attitude. She collaborates with her coworkers and patients. She listens to the patients' wishes for their labor or postpartum journey and tries her best to make it happen. She is an amazing breastfeeding resource, and our patients appreciate her knowledge and skills. A specific situation that I can recall with Jamie was when a patient came in and delivered her baby within minutes of being there. Jamie kept the first-time mom (and significant other) calm through the process and provided her support as she delivered the baby. She stepped right in with confidence, and everyone in the room had full trust in her. She is a great coworker and deserves to be recognized for all she does.
