Finally, Klee came into my mom’s life as her nurse and took care of her like she was her own mom!
I would like to give a thank you/recognition to one of the nurses, Klee, that took care of my mother while she was in the ICU. My mother is 83 years old and was admitted to that floor for covid/low sodium. She was in an isolation room and was not allowed visitors. I was told there were no landline phones in the room. She has a cell phone but has trouble using it. So for the first 3 days, she was unable to call us and didn’t know how to answer her phone when we called her. I did call and ask if someone could at least call my dad (husband) because he was worried about her. Finally, Klee came into my mom’s life as her nurse and took care of her like she was her own mom! She helped my mom call not only my dad but her daughters, and if my mom’s phone happened to ring while she was in the room, she would help my mom answer it. This meant the world to us! Also, she took the time to give my mom exceptional care, above and beyond her nursing duties! As a fellow health care worker myself, I understand the challenges the hospital staff face on a day-to-day basis. I will be forever grateful for Klee. Ascension is blessed to have her on their team, and she deserves recognition for being an extraordinary and compassionate nurse. Thank you so much Klee.
