Tony became our manager during another one of our COVID surges. He jumped into a brand-new team and department without missing a beat. He was there on one of the toughest nights I can remember in the last 2 years and he did everything he could to help. He never questions when we call him at 2am with an issue or us having no other option but to call him in to help with staffing. He is willing to do any assignment or task that is needed at the time. He has been here day and night and never complains. He truly cares about his staff, the department, and the patients we serve. Without him as our leader, I don't know where we would be right now. I truly feel and see there has been a change in morale amongst teammates and I believe he has had a lot to do with that. As a supervisor, I know I can talk to him about anything, and I will have his full support. Tony is the true definition of a leader and I continually strive to be more like him! We need more of him in nursing leadership roles!
