To heap enough praise onto this young lady would still not be enough. Raizel embodies all aspects of what makes a nurse spectacular. A willingness to immediately engage in conversation quickly builds rapport and ultimately trust. Her workflow did not suggest that I was being prepped for surgery rather, these tasks seemed to take place in the background. Any needles were administered with a brief reassurance that it was over. Raizel's ability to remain lighthearted and engaging provided me with the assurance that all things were positive moving forward. Hearing her positive words as I came to gave me a comfort that is exactly what a patient should feel upon coming out of anesthesia. This event was a very big deal for me. Raizel made it as best as she possibly could for me that day, and to think she provides that level of personal care to each patient placed before her is quite staggering. Please take my nomination of Raizel with great seriousness; she is that deserving of The DAISY Award.
