Nikki is perennially stellar and she has been a blessing and an inspiration to hundreds of patients on the EDU, not the easiest unit to take on and one where not many thrive. Nikki has indeed thrived on the unit and that has translated to happier, stronger patients. She is a role model to me. She has taught me to “follow my bliss” and that anything, at any time in life, is achievable with the requisite courage and strength of the body. She is wise, kind, and fun!

When the weekend rolled around wonderful Nikki became my nurse and I breathed a sigh of relief. She intuitively knew I needed extra support and so when she had settled her other patients in for the night, she came to my room and got comfortable in a chair, ready to talk and listen. We chitchatted and Nikki made me feel more relaxed. We also talked about deeper issues and Nikki’s responses were profound, wise, and sincere. Nikki pulled me from a dark place and silenced my highly negative inner dialogue. She made me laugh a lot! What Nikki provided was exactly what I needed in that moment, and I am forever grateful.

Nikki is the best nurse that I have ever had. She is very professional and knowledgeable about medical issues. She has a way of explaining things without talking down to her patients. She gives all of her patients as much of her time that they need. She treats everyone equally. She is very thorough and takes the time to explain what and why things are what they are. She is always smiling and can warm up a room when she enters it. Nicki is always very efficient. She is most definitely a patient favorite.
