What Joni thought would be a routine labor and delivery quickly became a life-or-death situation following the birth of my baby girl. Joni showed compassion throughout the entire ordeal, from the L&D room to the OR, to ICU, and back to L&D. She stayed with me every step of the way. Joni stayed late and even returned at her next shift to check in on me, my spouse, and my newborn in the nursery.

Although my daughter is 16 months old now, that day will forever be ingrained in my mind, along with the nurse who showed so much concern and compassion on what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, but quickly became the scariest. Joni, I will never forget the care you showed my family and I that day, and for that we will forever be grateful. You are truly passionate about nursing, and it showed that day. I hope you are well and are continuing to spread the love that you showed us to other families. You were truly heaven sent and we thank you and the entire team that night for all you do.
