The midwife was alarmed but Mallori assisted with changing the baby's position and mine to get the shoulder out without complications.
Mallori was my L&D nurse. When it came to delivery time my epidural failed - I was in so much pain, but Mallori stayed calm and used different therapeutic techniques to help me through contractions. When it came time to deliver, she took charge and walked me through each step. When my son arrived, he had "shoulder dystocia". The midwife was alarmed but Mallori assisted with changing the baby's position and mine to get the shoulder out without complications. She also never forgot about me, encouraging me to keep pushing. Mallori told other nurses what to do and with her help, my son is perfectly healthy. We were also delighted to see her walk into our room on mother/baby as our nurse there. You can tell L&D/Mother Baby is where Mallori belongs. She's fantastic!
