This nurse is the epitome of where science meets art - or maybe heart. In one patient situation, COMPASSION and COLLABORATION saved the day. The patient was upset, and the doctor was distressed because the wound had not improved. This nurse was at the patient's bedside, hand on the patient's arm, and with calm reassurance for both patient and provider, focused the discussion to advocate for the patient's healing. It is why both her patients and her team call her their "Hospital Mama". This term of RESPECT honors how this person has impacted their lives.

In another instance, as she left the room, the patient reached out for her hand. He held her tight, closed his eyes, and prayed over her asking that she continue to touch people's lives as she had touched his.
