Amy is a very caring and compassionate person towards patients and staff. Amy had a gentleman whose wife was dying in EAU, the gentleman went to his car outside A&E where he fell and fractured his hip. The staff in EAU could not accommodate him to be with his wife. So Amy had his wife transferred to SAU where they could be together during her last hours, and hold her hand whilst she died and he was able to spend some time with her after. When he was ready, they then transferred him into another cubicle so she could receive aftercare and he was so grateful for the compassion shown to him and his wife. On hearing this beautiful story, I feel Amy deserves some recognition for her compassion.
