I would like to start by appreciating all my colleagues in Medical ICU nurses for their excellent quality of care and professional attitude in handling patients’ needs. Above all this, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for nurse Janepple for her excellent care for one of our patients.

I once observed the way she was doing foot care for a patient. She was very keen on removing every callus and maintaining proper foot care and nail care. She takes care as well with the skin peeling the patient has especially in his ears. She took good care of it and you can see that the skin peeling in the ears is already healing with her continuity of care.

As her colleague, she really serves as a good model as she practices what she preaches, in terms of putting into practice the preventative measures for CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP, and HAPI. She is also very honest in her work and gives constructive criticism with teaching if she observes deviation of practice from her colleagues. She also gives appreciation to anyone who did a great job and gives motivation to others that what we should do is for patient safety and to give the best care we can give. She always keeps her dignity during work with compassion and kindness. This gives me the inspiration to do the best I can in this profession.
